Alan Rogers, Chaplain, United States Navy

Rick, thank you again, sir, for inviting me to this event and for allowing my son, Jackson, to accompany me.  It was an absolutely fantastic evolution for your Marines, an incredible opportunity for me to interact with them, and an invaluable lifelong memory for my son.  He will likely, and hopefully, tell my grandchildren about sharing a campfire, learning some astronomy, and rock climbing with some men who carried the burden of the war which dominated and defined his childhood.  It was a pleasure to share a campfire with you and it is a privilege to care for your Marines as their Chaps.  I sincerely thank and respect you for your leadership and care of the people God has entrusted to you.
