COMMENTS FROM MILITARY LEADERS & ATTENDEES

For years the military has searched for a way to promote resiliency among junior personnel. Rick Wolf and his team have cracked the code. This program supported hundreds of young Marines in my unit and had a tremendous impact. Soul Survivor Outdoor is a faith-based organization that engages young service members in an outdoor adventure-themed setting. This is ideal for first-term service members, and I cannot thank the SSO team enough for what they meant to my unit. -- Charlie Wells – SgtMaj, U.S. Marine Corps

I’m a big fan of SSO and a bigger fan of Rick Wolf- the ministry is changing how Chaplains serving Marine units are providing ministry. Thank you SSO for supporting our HAVOC 2/7 by setting up amazing events like rock climbing, sky diving, baseball games, and sponsoring the HAVOC 2/7 reunion this year. I can't recommend SSO enough!!! -- Edwin Handley – Chaplain, LT, U.S. Navy

"I enjoyed it all! People are great! I immediately felt I was part of something." I want to say THANK YOU! You have no idea the impact you make. You saved me without even realizing it.” -- Jose Flores, GySgt USMC

This event was tremendously impactful and allowed my soldiers and myself to share and communicate outside of the typical work environment. Great event with a lot to offer and will push hard to get everyone possible to take advantage of this faith-based approach to nourishment and sustainment. -- Brandon Casey – 1SGT, U.S. Army

Soul Survivor Outdoor is the epitome of leadership and being a servant to those that serve. They are directly on point with how they ensure our service members continue to be mentally, physically, and spiritually fit with Christ at the foundation. The positive effect that they have on each individual service member has exponential effects for every other person that that service member touches. I encourage you but even if you aren't believer your life will be changed by this organization. Get involved, volunteer, donate, serve! -- Zerbin Singleton – Maj, U.S. Marine Corps

I loved the trip they had us take with them, and their stories they had to share I was very grateful to listen to. Even if you consider yourself a secular person it's a wonderful opportunity to work on a spiritual side and connect with that part of ourselves that we as a society lack in. Definitely take the trip if given the chance. -- Justin Kirschner - PFC, U.S. Marine Corps

The freaking best thing hands down! Loved every bit of it! -- Heidy Salmeron – Petty Officer 3rd Class, U.S. Navy

Soul Survivor Outdoor holds a near and dear place to my wife and I's heart. We love what they do for Marines in caring for their mind, their body, and their soul. There are few ministries out there, engaging Marines to the level that SSO does. Could not give higher praise to Rick and his team. As someone who has been at the receiving end of one of their events, it was life changing. My wife and I now both love rock climbing. Thank you, Rick and the whole team! -- Michael Hornsby – PFC, U.S. Marine Corps Reserve

I’m very thankful for this organization helping me as a combat veteran to appreciate life again with outdoor activities. -- Sam Leon – U.S. Marine Corps Veteran

A great organization that gets to the left of the blast in the fight to reduce the 20 suicides a day that takes place within the military community. Connects body, mind, and soul in a manner that any military member (past or present) can connect with. Keep moving towards the sound of the guns.
